It has been a long time since I posted. I’ve been BUSY really, really, BUSY. I have been teaching the OSU senior design class on top of everything else I’m responsible for here. It has proven to be much harder than I had expected and very draining. There is quite a high level of expectation. I try to rise to it, but it does take a lot of energy.

So apparently golf carts are the next big thing is terror. Last night I took my golf cart to work and parted it. I went and watched the fireworks for about an hour and then a few of us headed back to the cart. We sit down on the cart and from behind us these two cop cars lights flasshing come speeding aorund a corner. I think huh, I wonder waht they are up to thinking there is a fire or something. No, they screech to a halt behind me. Here is a rough transcript:
Police: ‘Step away from the cart.’
Me: ‘Sure’ (I do so)
Police: ‘Come over here and keep your hands where I can see them. Do you have any weapons’
Me: (Frantically checking my pockets for my knife) ‘No’ (I reach his car)
Police: ‘We had a report of some people driving a golf cart around holding rifles.’
Me: ‘… We don’t have any rifles.’
In the mean time another cop is questioning the other riders about their part in our golf cart based cue on OSU. I don’t blame the cops… I mean a person who is riding a golf cart with a rifle is probably a little off their nut so I would look for them too. Who I blame is the scared pathetic person who reported it in the first place. Quit living in fear!

Spring rescue weekend is this weekend. We will be at Woahink on Saturday at 8am. We will try to do the whole rescue in one day, but we will have to see how it goes. There is a high tide at 3:30 on Saturday, and one at 4:15 on Sunday. We will try to do the north jetty for both of them. See you all at the coast!

The NW Dive NEws Treasure Hunt is June 23rd this year. You can buy ticket at ESDS. They are $30 and you get a discount I think from ESDS when you buy a ticket. Trust me when I say this thng is quite a hoot! I highly recomend to everyone that they go to this thing! You can win some pretty neat things and it is lots of fun to hang out with all of the other divers there. I’ll be running an ESDS tent, so stop by and visit! You can find out more details at NW Dive News.

I had all of my wisdom teeth removed this morning. Not painful at all, but lots of blood. Ewww… I’m going to try to not take any of the pain killers that they gave me, but I’m sure I will regret it. I’m a little bummed, they would not lt me take the teeth home with me… some rule about medical waste or something… I was going to make a necklace. Anyways, If you ever need our teeth out, at least in my opinion, there not enough pain to matter, so don’t fear it.

I’m always fighting with one evil demon. The demon of dirt and disorder. It seems that when you turn around, something is always out of place or dirty that should not be. I’ve had the ‘breezeway of doom’ now for many months, at least 18 or so, and I finally got to cleaning it.
Let me explain about the breezeway of doom. This is where everythign that mad no home collected. As examples, I’ll list what I found in the cleaning; used motor oil, crap pots, rotten wood, tires, a lead anchor, lumber, a pair of underwear (not mine), a snake, paint buckets, a shovel, and a dive float. Yum!
Any ways, now it is clean, and I have the picture to prove it!

I love my house… not it a sick and disgusting way, but more in the way someoen loves thier little brother or sister. I try to take care of my house, and spend quite a bit of time on it, cleaning, and fixing anmf making it better. There is something theraputic about construction. I just wanted everyone to know what I think about my house. Here is a picture of it!

Martin here… So I’ve finally got a place to post random scuba-related stuff. For those that don’t know, I’m also an Instructor with ESDS & LCC, and I’ve known Don almost as long as I’ve been diving. My website can be found at Raindivers: I’ve got lots of pictures and stuff up there, and if I have a big scuba-update, I’ll give it here, since when it comes to computers, I’ve long since broken my give-a-damn and don’t keep a blog. I’ve got a lot of cool pictures as I’m into photography, but I’ll give up one picture here that probably very few of you have seen, taken January 2002 (note the snow on the ground, and that I’m in a wetsuit… Guess what, I wore one ‘o thems once too!) when I was getting my advanced cert up at the Scumrise:

I still have the mask, fins, snorkel, EMT shears, dive light, and whistle, though the mask and light have both broken, and other pieces been replaced by superior equipment.
Anyway. Now that the blog works and pictures can be posted, I’m going to go make some dinner. Mmm, sushi.
Well, it mostly works, it doesn’t display the author of the post, but apparently Don’s written 9 posts under my login through site-admin or something, so if I’m gonna write something, suppose I’ll just disclaimer it as coming from me. Otherwise, just assume it’s Don talking typing.

Sometimes yopu need to just let something go. I really really wanted to get the duplex I had mentioned earlier, but it just didid not happern. The ‘pre approval’ I had simply ment I was preapproved to fail and have the rug jerked out from under me in the end. Also on reexamination, I don’t want to live with that debt on top of others I have.
I’m going to spend a few months licking my wounds and paying off debt. Then I’ll get back on the horse and try again.
