• POV Wheels

    I'm working on my own POV systemfor a bycycle.I'm planning to install at least 2 (possibly 3) RGB LED strips on a wheel. This will let the POV function while he wheel is turning at a slower rate than with one LED strip.

April 24, 2013 - Its been a while! Today we got a new toy at work. It is a programmable cutter for paper and mylar. we bought it for creating limited use stencils for PCB based on this link. I'm happy to report it worked awesome. Check the images of the finished solder joints, the stencil, and the final project working after assembly!




March 17, 2013 - Today I spent some time working with an ARM Cortex m4 and my light strip bar. I was able to get the light strip running fine using the Teensy 3.0 board from PJRC. Next steps to drop all the helper functions and learn the register structure of the ARM device.



February 19, 2013 - I finished and ordered my first cut of the LED strip board I'm planning to use for my Burning man lighting needs. I used OSH Park and the process was super easy.



February 06, 2013 - Today, Burningman ticket registration opened (sort of) and in honor of it, I decided to work on an LED strip for a dream costume I would like to make. These RGB strips should cost $6 each when I finish them. I'm hoping to make something like the guy in the picture but in RGB.
